There is no verified single best drone in Doloc Town yet. The most repeated boss candidate in the collected discussions is Doloc Guard Drone with Sniper Launcher, Shadow Shooter and Strengthening Chip Medium E, while another current-oriented guide uses Doloc Guard Drone, Sniper Launcher, Mody's engine, Electronic Disruptor and Medium B. These are reported builds, not a tested ranking.
Why the best-drone answer is conditional
Build performance changes with the frame, weapon, engine, support part, chip, target and control mode. Community posts rarely hold all of those variables constant. A popular combination can therefore be a strong candidate without proving first place.
The source pack contains no same-target 1.0 comparison with damage, battery and accuracy recorded together. Calling one build objectively best would invent evidence. This guide instead identifies repeated candidates and the test needed to rank them.
Reported boss build candidate
Several discussions repeat Doloc Guard Drone, Sniper Launcher, Shadow Shooter and Strengthening Chip Medium E for bosses. The repeated appearance makes it a useful test candidate. It does not establish that every component is optimal in the current balance.
Another author uses the same Guard Drone and Sniper Launcher with Mody's engine, Electronic Disruptor and Medium B. The overlap suggests that the frame and long-range weapon deserve comparison first. The different support and chip choices must be tested rather than silently merged.
Auto-fire needs accuracy and energy discipline
Auto-fire can clear routine enemies without constant input, but it may attack passive creatures and waste battery on poor shots. A build that looks strong under manual control may perform worse when the system chooses targets. Accuracy and sustained energy are therefore part of the result.
Use the same route and enemy set for an auto-fire test. Record missed shots and remaining battery, not only visible damage. No such controlled dataset is present in the collected sources, so the best auto-fire build remains to be confirmed.
Reported close-range Speedy Launcher option
Speedy Launcher builds are discussed for close-range or active play. The community weapon record warns of zero critical chance and low accuracy, which can waste energy under auto-fire. That makes it a different control choice rather than a direct replacement for the Sniper candidate.
Test it manually at the range where the player can compensate for accuracy. Do not transfer a manual result to auto-fire without another run. The collected evidence supports the tradeoff but not a universal score.
How to verify the best build
Use the same enemy, position, duration, starting battery and game version. Change only one component between runs and record damage, hit behavior and remaining energy. Repeat enough times to separate a real difference from one lucky sequence.
Publish the full loadout and conditions next to any conclusion. A thirty-second same-scene comparison is the planned minimum asset, not evidence that already exists. Until that test is captured, every “best” label on this page remains reported.
Sources and evidence status
Candidates come from two player build discussions, the updated Steam tips guide, a community Speedy Launcher record and a Japanese player's notes. Multiple sources repeat parts of the boss setup, which justifies testing it. None provides a controlled universal ranking.
Research was checked on August 11, 2026. This page names real reported builds and their conflicts without inventing performance numbers. The next revision depends on an original version 1.0 comparison.
