To equip a Doloc Town drone chip, first use a frame that actually has a Chip slot. The documented Abandoned Drone supports Weapon, Engine, Support and Chip slots, while other frames can expose different options. Strengthening Chip letters and grades are reported to change damage or critical-related stats, but no single chip is verified as best for every weapon.
Unlock a frame with a Chip slot
A chip cannot be forced into a frame that lacks the matching slot. The community frame record makes the Abandoned Drone a clear example because its four categories are documented. If the equipment screen refuses the chip, inspect the frame layout before assuming that the item is broken.
Higher-tier frames are reported to offer more build options, but the full 1.0 frame table is not present in the source pack. Do not infer a slot from frame price or appearance. Use the visible equipment interface as the current source of truth.
Equip the chip through the correct category
Open the drone equipment interface, select the active frame and move to its Chip slot. Keep Weapon, Engine and Support parts in their own categories. Similar upgrade wording does not make those parts interchangeable.
If a chip remains unavailable, check whether it is already equipped on another frame and whether the current frame is the one being edited. The collected evidence does not establish every interface step or controller button. Those UI details should be captured directly from version 1.0.
Read Strengthening Chip stats in context
Different Strengthening Chip letters or grades are reported to change damage, critical chance and related combat values. A larger isolated number is not automatically better if the weapon cannot use the stat efficiently. Weapon firing rate, accuracy and energy consumption all affect the result.
Do not publish a ranking from labels alone. Record the exact stat text on the current chip and compare it with the active weapon. The source pack treats these combinations as reported community findings, not official balance documentation.
Match chips to the weapon and control mode
An auto-fire build benefits only when it can hit targets consistently and sustain battery use. A manual boss build can value a different damage window because the player chooses when to fire. This is why two community players can recommend different chips without one report being fabricated.
Use the chip as part of a complete build rather than a standalone tier. Keep the frame, weapon, engine and support component fixed when comparing two chips. Without that control, the damage difference cannot be assigned to the chip.
Treat early, mid and late picks as conditional
The research includes several lettered Strengthening Chips in community builds, but it does not provide a verified acquisition curve or complete stat table. This page therefore does not invent early, mid and late winners. Use the strongest compatible chip you can verify for the current weapon and task.
A future ranking needs the same enemy, test duration, battery and control mode. It should also publish the displayed chip stats and game version. Until that comparison exists, “best chip” remains to be confirmed.
